C. Lights, camera, action (Movie Maker, Producer and PhotoStory)
Learn how to create digital presentations with MovieMaker, Producer, and Photo Story. These three free programs are simple to use and are ideal for student use in developing presentations for group or individual projects. Suitable for all students Yrs 3-12.
D. Desktop publishing (Publisher)
The essentials of designing, developing and publishing documents using a computer. This workshop concentrates on the elements of effective layout and design. Publisher 03 or 07.
E. Making your point (PowerPoint)
Find out how to make lively presentations to communicate ideas and concepts. From custom animation to interactive links, learn how to make your PowerPoints stand out. PowerPoint 03 or 07.
F. The power of numbers (Excel)
Whether you want to create a school marks book or organise your home finances, an Excel spreadsheet will give you power over numbers. Learn the basics of what a spreadsheet is, how to perform calculations, formatting, graphing, and the use of functions. Excel 03 or 07.

I. Building a web site (DreamWeaver)

Jb. Kidspiration
At last a visualisation tool for the junior primary! Kidspiration is the P-4 equivalent of Inspiration were students build graphic organisers by combining pictures, text and spoken words to represent thoughts and information. (½ day)
K. Advanced Excel
This workshop is for self-taught Excel users who would like to develop their skills with this powerful tool. Topics include using filters, functions, lookup tables, conditional formatting, advanced sorting, pivot tables, goal seeking, etc. Excel 03 or 07.
L. GameMaker
Lead your class in developing their own computer games while they learn the fundamentals of programming. Game Maker is a free download, and is suitable for students from Yr4 to Yr12. It is simple to use, and no prior knowledge of programming is required. GameMaker 7.
M. Sounds Right! (Audacity)
Move into the digital age with this free, simple to use, music and sound editing software. Audacity is highly motivational and will have your students reading, writing, creating and performing as they develop digital MP3 recordings and podcasts. Suitable for all students from Yrs 3-12.
N. Moodle
Moodle is the best learning management system around, and its free! Learn how to set up and use Moodle to create an online learning environment. Your students can use Moodle to participate in your subject or to coordinate and submit projects. Features include resource management, assignment handling and monitoring, forums, chat, wikis, blogs, glossaries, quizzes, lessons and much more.
O. Pretty Flash!
An introduction to using Flash that will have you and your students creating stand alone and web based animations quickly and easily. Learn the fundamentals of Flash from basic animations to the use of movie clips and interactive buttons. Flash CS3 or CS4.
P. Photoshop
An introduction to using the industry standard image manipulation application. With Photoshop you will learn about cropping, resizing and rotating images, retouching and repairing images, effects and filters, selection tools, image transformations, point, paragraph and path type, type transformations, masks, effects, and utilising layers. Photoshop CS3 or CS4.
Q. Fireworks
Fireworks is the ideal program to work with web graphics. Learn all about animated gifs, animating text, making button graphics, creating button actions, navigation bars and pop-up menus. Fireworks CS3 or CS4.
R. Office transition
This workshop is to assist users in making the change from the Office 03 to Office 07. Learn about the new ribbon interface, the Office button, the Quick Access toolbar, command buttons, the Mini toolbar, new file formats, compatibility mode, converting between new and old documents, and enabling macros. Instruction is mainly through Word 07, but can include Outlook 07 and Excel 07 on request.
